The impressive thing about Oikawa’s serves is that they have variety in animation. I actually prefer on top of them all the “that was a nice serve toss” with “that was basically a spike” as a close second. They also tease it (with Oikawa slowly walking to the serving point) and used music change, rhythm change and silence. Also Oikawa says something different each time or sometimes he doesn’t talk at all. That’s something they don’t really do in animation for service (except for floaters which are the most vary). That’s something I really miss a lot from season 2. Now you can also predict right away how the serve is going to go (while Oikawa’s first serve with “that” animation is actually out and Yamaguchi’s best floater was actually saved by Iwaizumi). I like it a lot when you don’t know what the player will go for. That’s a thing left only for Atsumu’s tosses and Bokuto spikes, you can’t predict the results of neither.
